With it's 3D-Link suspension system the rear shock is not a structural member. This makes the Element track straight and lose nothing to flex due to increased lateral stiffness. Add to this the custom valved Fox Float R PP shock and all of your energy will be directed into the drivetrain and not the suspension. All of this adds up to a cross country bike that performs at a high level.
